MOMENTUM NOT PERFECTION
I spent years battling societal pressure to stay a certain size while never feeling confident or healthy. My relationship with food was filled with guilt and confusion. Over 15 years, I’d tried virtually every fad diet you could imagine including:
Atkins
The Special K Diet
And even bizarre ones like the Cabbage Soup Diet
But nothing ever stuck. I had a really awful relationship with food. I never really ate without feeling guilt or confusion. I had so much ‘food noise’ going on.
And then I had my children.
When I was pregnant, I thought: ‘Oh my goodness, I don’t have to diet.’ That didn’t turn out so well… I put on 5 stone with my second child Heidi. And then I really, really struggled after that.
I felt completely disconnected from myself. My energy was at an all-time low. Anxiety consumed me daily. I didn’t even recognise the person in the mirror anymore.
Every night, I’d put the kids to bed, sit down with a glass of wine or a packet of biscuits, and tell myself I’d “deal with it tomorrow.”
But tomorrow never came.
I’ll never forget the moment I decided, “Enough is enough.”
I realised I couldn’t keep living like this—trapped in a cycle of bad habits, negative self-talk, and diets that only made me feel worse.
So, I took control.
Through educating myself and truly listening to my body, I discovered a simple, sustainable way to lose weight, feel confident in my own skin, and reclaim my sense of balance — all without losing my sanity!
Fast forward to today:
I’ve lost 31 kilos.
I’ve regained my energy and confidence.
I’m living proof that it’s possible to transform your life—even while juggling a hectic lifestyle.
